- Again, on December 7, 2011, Carol enjoyed the spirited gala at the capitol building in Salem, Oregon, where the holiday spirit abounded. Oregon artists of all kinds presented their wares while enjoying the carolers and choirs and tasty goodies along with the crowd amid the many lighted Christmas trees and colorful poinsettias. And again, "The Bag Lady War" sold well, although she was scolded by those who hoped to find the sequel, "Lightly Dusted Crow." Thus encouraged, she's back at it, finishing the Bag Ladies' next adventure, and hoping to present it by next Christmas.
- A fun-filled review of "The Bag Lady War" with the BRAGG (Book Readers and Gourmet Group) book club in Modesto, California, on June 7th, 2011. The spirit of Christmas filled the air, with carolers, choirs, and a brass ensemble. Colorful poinsettias and lighted Christmas trees were everywhere - including a giant Noble fir in the rotunda surrounded by a replica village of historic Salem and an A.C. Gilbert train. Refreshments flowed, spirits were bright - and books flew out the door!
