  • Carol (back row center) addressed the ladies of the Antelope Social Club on Feb. 18, 2011, in Eagle Point, Oregon. The group was organized over 100 years ago, and has become far more than just a book club, but a charitable organization as well.
  • December 8, 2010 - Carol was one of twelve Oregon authors invited to sign their books at the well-attended gala Holiday Open House in the Oregon State Capitol in Salem, along with state Attorney General John Kroger and former Governor Barbara Roberts. The spirit of Christmas filled the air, with carolers, choirs, and a brass ensemble. Colorful poinsettias and lighted Christmas trees were everywhere - including a giant Noble fir in the rotunda surrounded by a replica village of historic Salem and an A.C. Gilbert train. Refreshments flowed, spirits were bright - and books flew out the door!
  • November 20, 2010 - Ashland Springs Hotel in Ashland, Oregon, again hosted the bustling Southern Oregon Author and Book Fair. Carol with fellow writer and assistant Book Fair organizer, David Churchman.

  • On April 22, 2010, Carol was honored to be invited to the "Women of Intellect" gathering in Medford, Oregon, for a discussion of her book, "The Bag Lady War." This time, Carol is behind the camera!

Her book, "Made in Japan," published in 1990, parallels her experience as a Japanese child growing up in Oregon during WWII with that of her friends, the family in "Stubborn Twig."
